At Imposter Game, we want you to be completely satisfied with your subscription. This refund policy outlines your rights and our process for handling refund requests. We strive to be fair, transparent, and responsive to your needs.

1. Refunds & Cancellation

Self-Service Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation is instant, and you'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

Immediate Cancellation & Full Refund (24 Hours)

If you cancel within 24 hours of your original payment, we'll provide an immediate full refund. Contact support@impostergame.net for instant processing.

2. 7-Day Refund Window

You can request a refund within 7 calendar days from your original charge. We'll deduct the value of any credits you've used and refund the remaining balance to your original payment method.

Credit Deduction

We'll calculate the value of used credits based on your subscription plan's credit rate and deduct it from your refund amount. Any unused credits will be fully refunded.

⚠️Important Note

After 7 days, payments are non-refundable unless required by law. We strongly encourage you to try our features during the refund window.

3. How to Request a Refund

Our team will verify your payment details, subscription date, and credit usage within 1-2 business days.

3.Processing

Once approved, refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method.

4. Refund Processing Timeline

Once we approve your refund, processing times vary by payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days
  • Other payment methods: 7-14 business days (varies by provider)

5. EU/UK Consumer Rights

If you're in the EU or UK, you have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Rights Directive. You can cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase for any reason and receive a full refund (minus used credits).

Important

Once you start using credits (AI generation, premium features), you acknowledge that the service has begun and waive your right to a full refund without deduction. We'll still refund unused portions.

6. Credits Used During Trial Period

If you used credits during your trial or refund-eligible period, we'll deduct their fair value from your refund. This ensures fairness to all users and prevents abuse.

Example

You subscribed to the Casual Plan ($9.99/month with 3000 credits). You used 900 credits (30%). If you request a refund within 7 days, we'll refund $7.00 (70% of $9.99).

7. Special Circumstances

We understand that exceptional situations occur. We may provide refunds outside our standard policy in cases of:

  • Technical Issues: If our platform experienced significant technical problems that prevented you from using credits, we'll investigate and may issue a full refund or credit bonus.
  • Billing Errors: If you were charged incorrectly or multiple times due to a payment processing error, we'll immediately correct the issue and refund excess charges.
  • Unauthorized Charges: If you didn't authorize a charge (fraud, stolen card), contact us immediately. We'll investigate and work with you to resolve the issue.

8. Alternative Solutions Before Refund

Before requesting a refund, consider these options:

  • Downgrade: Switch to a lower-cost plan that better fits your usage
  • Pause Subscription: Some plans allow temporary subscription pauses
  • Talk to Support: We may be able to resolve technical issues or answer questions that change your mind

9. Anti-Abuse Policy

We reserve the right to deny refunds to users who repeatedly request refunds after exhausting most or all credits, as this constitutes service abuse.

Note

Patterns of abuse may result in account suspension and denial of future refunds. We monitor for fair use to protect all customers.
